Unfortunately many people believe that in order to become wealthy and obtain prestigious titles they must allow themselves to be taken advantage of to varying degrees; sometimes being sexually abused and abused in other ways.
Hollywood is a perfect example but many women in business feel this way too.
I have been a very successful woman in business, even in the automobile industry which is predominately male and stood my grounds and was rewarded monetarily and with a promotion.
I sued an automobile dealership under Title VII for huge income discrimination when I was doing most of the work in the department as the facts showed.
Even though EEOC, which has a very controversial reputation, did not rule in my favor; people in the industry knew my capabilities and I was offered a very lucrative and prestigious management position because of MY CHARACTER. The owner of the dealership knew I held myself to very high standards and was very honest and knew I would run the department accordingly, which I did. The dealership which discriminated against me (and others too) eventually went out of business due to their immoral and corrupt business practices.
Thus, NEVER sacrifice your values and believe you must put up with abuse because you don’t.
***No job is worth that and anyone who tells you otherwise has lost their mind, heart and soul and is full of a lot of shame. If you allow yourself to be abused then others in that environment will EXPECT you to abuse others. It is a vicious cycle. Don’t get in it and if in it, CHOOSE to get out of it. Make a better life for yourself with truth, honesty and happiness. Money will not make you happy and neither will an undeserved prestigious title which is hiding many secrets.
As always none of this is legal or any other advice; it is based upon my knowledge and experiences.
