Why PRESIDENT TRUMP’S “DEAL OF THE CENTURY” PROMOTES TERROR not Peace according to many reasonable people and indisputable, undeniable and incontestable facts.

THE TALIBAN which is the organization PRESIDENT TRUMP has UNREASONABLY, IRRATIONALLY and HORRIFICALLY chosen to work with to achieve peace in the Middle East is a military organization and political movement in Afghanistan. Horrifically, the Taliban is KNOWN FOR ITS VIOLENCE ESPECIALLY AGAINST WOMEN which it claims is part of its “religious” Islamic Sharia law.
Here is a much more sensible, reasonable and rational alternative for PRESIDENT TRUMP to pursue.
Thus, anyone reading this who has contact with PRESIDENT TRUMP, like
RABBI MARVIN HIER who spoke at his inauguration and said he is “proud to be President Trump’s inauguration rabbi,” and also will be personally receiving this post by email; please, for the well-being of OUR GLOBAL WORLD and ALL OF HUMANITY, forward this to him or whomever is in charge of his “Deal of the Century.” Working with these following leaders could reasonably, rationally and realistically create peace in the Middle East and a “Deal of the Century.”
THE RED SEA REGION which is where I am so fortunate to be living in Israel, has many INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES including but not limited to: 1) Its OIL and NATURAL GAS RESOURCES; 2) Having MILLIONS of people from DIVERSE national and ethnic groups living nearby; 3) Its importance in GLOBAL SHIPPING; 4) Its POPULAR VACATION SPOTS because of its warm, sunny beaches; its wide variety of fish and unique coral reefs which provide exceptional diving and snorkeling and; its beautiful seascapes and nearby villas and resorts with spectacular views.
The Red Sea region in Israel is called Eilat and if you have never been here; I highly recommend coming for a visit.
As much as 10 percent of WORLD TRADE passes through the Red Sea and more is reasonably expected since the Suez Canal and Bab Al-Mandab Strait are two of the world’s most crucial shipping chokepoints.
In addition, the Red Sea is often viewed as a dividing line between the Middle East and Africa AND AS A RESULT many of the LITTORAL STATES and OTHER COUNTRIES TOO have seen the Red Sea as an OPPORTUNITY for NEW Economic, Political, Geopolitical and Military DEVELOPMENTS and RELATIONSHIPS. The March 2nd, 2020 Arab News article by Kerry Boyd Anderson stated that some Middle Eastern countries have shown a growing interest in the Red Sea region, OFTEN COMBINING:1) Military and 2) Economic Interests.
For example, SAUDI ARABIA has a natural interest in this Red Sea region because it is the country with the longest Red Sea coastline. Thus, as reasonably expected, Saudi Arabia is seeking to develop its coastline through many Vision 2030 projects as Forbes Magazine and others have reported.
Accordingly, Saudi Arabia has a very serious interest in ensuring FREEDOM OF NAVIGATION through the Red Sea and therefore has MILITARY facilities along its coast.
In addition, Saudi Arabia is deeply involved with its southern neighbor and fellow littoral state, YEMEN while ALSO working to deepen and expand economic and political relations with EGYPT, SUDAN, ERITREA and OTHER COUNTRIES IN THIS RED SEA REGION.
The UAE, although it does not border the Red Sea (is not a littoral state) it has engaged in significant Political, Economic and Military investments in EGYPT, SUDAN, ERITREA, ETHIOPIA and parts of SOMALIA including establishing a military base at Eritrea’s Assab port.
As Arab News reported; even though the UAE and SAUDI ARABIA pursue their own interests in the Red Sea region; they sometimes COMPETE BUT OFTEN WORK TOGETHER. (Unlike the current Israeli leaders who are SHAMEFULLY and DISGRACEFULLY trying to destroy each other for the 61 seats while SELFISHLY DISREGARDING the fact that THEIR CHARADES are VERY DETRIMENTAL to the ISRAELI PEOPLE who continue to be without a leader of the country Maybe PRESIDENT TRUMP can help them too so there will not be a 4th election).
QATAR has pursued interests in SUDAN and SOMALIA in alliance with TURKEY which have been counter to SAUDI ARABIA and UAE.
IRAN has sought opportunities in this Red Sea region but Saudi Arabia and the UAE have successfully blocked several of its attempts as Arab News reported.
Global powers located far away from this Red Sea region have also sought interests there.
For example, in 2017 CHINA expanded its military reach by opening its FIRST OVERSEAS MILITARY BASE in DJIBOUTI, a country in African which is a member of the ARAB LEAGUE.
FRANCE, ITALY and JAPAN all have MILITARY INSTALLATIONS in DJIBOUTI to help protect their interest of FREEDOM OF NAVIGATION through the Red Sea.
It is also interesting to note that THE ONLY UNITED STATES MILITARY BASE in AFRICA is in DJIBOUTI.
Weak governance in this Red Sea region in the past, particularly in SOMALIA and YEMEN, allowed CRIMINAL AND TERRORIST networks and piracy to flourish.
Accordingly, STRENGTHENING GOVERNANCE and ADDRESSING CORRUPTION are essential to this Red Sea region’s Economic and Peaceful future.
IN THE PAST, some steps were taken to improve the economic opportunities and environment of this Red Sea region as I will explain. However, CURRENTLY new ones are needed and PRESIDENT TRUMP, with all of his business knowledge, experiences and expertise, can surely have some success if he would GATHER TOGETHER the leaders of those countries mentioned and maybe other ones too for a VERY SERIOUS CONFERENCE with the purpose of obtaining Peace in the Middle East. Then realistically maybe the world would have a “Deal of the Century.”
Here are some of the steps already taken as Arab News reported:
1) The 2018 JEDDAH AGREEMENT that ended 20 years of conflict between Eritrea and Ethiopia was a crucial step toward stability and economic opportunities, and it has fostered improved relations between Eritrea and Djibouti too. The Jeddah Agreement’s DURABILITY faces some challenges, and sustained support is necessary for its
long-term success.
2) Saudi Arabia and the UAE have offered aid to ASSIST in the POLITICAL TRANSITIONS in Sudan and Ethiopia.
Surely, PRESIDENT TRUMP, with all of his business knowledge and experiences can be a VALUABLE ASSET to this Red Sea Forum, if he TRUTHFULLY cares about PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST and his “Deal of a Century.”
As I am sure PRESIDENT TRUMP knows: It is extremely important to implement ONLY political changes and opportunities for prosperity which will benefit ENTIRE POPULATIONS of the Red Sea states, NOT JUST a FEW OFFICIALS and BUSINESS PEOPLE and their “FRIENDS.”
As journalist Kerry Boyd Anderson of Arab News beautifully summarized:
With peace and improved governance and also investments in infrastructure, the Red Sea region has significant potential to be much more than a key shipping lane. It could serve as an EXAMPLE of HOW a REGION ONCE KNOWN FOR WAR and PIRACY COULD BECOME a CENTER for ECONOMIC GROWTH and COOPERATION.
In addition, as geopolitical and economic competition continues to heat up in this Red Sea region, it will become more and more important for the littoral states and others to WORK TOGETHER to address security threats and promote peace.
Hopefully PRESIDENT TRUMP will decide to SINCERELY put forth THE EFFORT and the RESOURCES NECESSARY to REALISTICALLY address these security threats and promote peace so there will be PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST and THE WORLD will then have a “Deal of the Century.”
